9th Caterham Guides Celebrating 100 years of Girl Guiding and their 25th Visit to SKYWAVES. For their Radio Communications Day supported by the Caterham Radio Group.

Again our club callsign GX0SCR was again active on  2 metre FM, 80 and 20 metres HF Short wave bands.09:00-17:00 and also on the Packet Radio World Wide Convers (WWC) channel 11.

This year 9 Guides, Brownies and Leaders attended.
On HF 27 stations where worked and 13 on VHF.

TDOTA 2009 21st February 2009
The Caterham Radio Group participated again for the Guides Thinking Day On The Air (TDOTA 2009 Supporting the local Caterham Brownies and Guide groups. This was our 24th event.

Again our club callsign GX0SCR was again active on the Packet Radio World Wide Convers (WWC) channel 11and also on 2 metre FM, 80, 40 and 20 metres HF Short wave bands.09:00-18:00.

This year 19 Guides, Brownies and Leaders attended.
On HF 35 stations where worked and 18 on VHF.

TDOTA 2007 17th February 2007
The Caterham Radio Group and the 9th Caterham Guides are celebrating their 10th Anniversary of working together.

This was the 21st event held, where the Caterham Guides experienced speaking to Radio Amateurs and other Girl Guides and Brownies over the Amateur Radio Short Wave Frequencies around the UK and the rest of the world.

Just a quick reminder about the Radio Scouting 100 Award celebrating 100 years of Scouting...

During 2007 Scout and Guide special event stations were active. and count as 2 points for the award!
Most people would easily be able to qualify for the first of the Awards, the bronze Award over the TDOTA weekend  

Please remember these awards are open to anyone, making them ideal for any Scouts and Guides doing Communicator Badges.

TDOTA 2006 Report
The Caterham Radio Group participated again for the Guides Thinking Day On The Air (TDOTA 2006. Supporting the local Caterham Brownies and Guide groups. The event is run on the same weekend as the Canadian GOTA (Guides On The Air).

Again our club callsign GX0SCR was again active on the Packet Radio world wide Convers channel 11and also on 2 metre FM, 40, 20 metres HF Short wave bands. 09:00-17:00

The Caterham Guides and Brownies always look forward to exchanging greetings messages around the United Kingdom and the rest of the World with other guides and Radio Amateurs using the radio airwaves. Learning and locating the Amateur Radio stations contacted on the Maps.

This year 13 Guides, Brownies and Leaders attended.
On HF 30 stations where worked and 9 on VHF.
